Business Intelligence & Systems Analyst Contract - Job Reference #202605-02CE
DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Associate Director of ITS, this position plays a central role in enabling data-informed decision making and digital transformation across the College. This position also:
· Leads the analysis, integration and optimization of enterprise information systems including Sparkrock MS Business Central (FIS/ HRIS), Slate CRM, and related institutional platforms.
· Designs and develops institutional frameworks, dashboards, and analytical tools that support operational management and strategic decision-making.
· Translates complex institutional data into meaningful insights that inform planning, enrollment strategy, financial management, and student success initiatives.
· Serves as the primary analyst for enterprise administrative systems.
· Analyzes institutional business processes and translates operational requirements into system configurations, integrations, workflows, and reporting solutions.
· Co-leads initiatives that improve institutional data literacy and the effective use of enterprise reporting and analytic tools.
· Develops training resources, documentation and workshops that support the adoption of enterprise systems and reporting frameworks.
· Coordinates institutional data integration activities across enterprise platforms to ensure reliable, consistent and secure data flows between systems.
· Provides functional leadership and technical coordination to the data integration team.
· Partners with functional offices to streamline administrative service workflows and improve institutional processes through technology-enabled solutions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (unless identified as preferred):
· Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (Business Analyses of related field preferred)
· At least 2 years of previous relevant experience.
· Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and at least one business intelligence or visualization tool (e.g., Power BI).
· Understanding of relational data models and data integration concepts.
· Familiarity with data warehouse/reporting environments.
· Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments, including ITS, academic units, and administration.
· Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Familiarity with project management and agile methodologies an asset.
· Understanding of Canadian privacy legislation (FIPPA, PHIPA) and postsecondary data governance best practices.
· Experience with data stewardship or involvement in data governance programs is a strong asset.
TYPE OF JOB:
· Full-Time Contract position (35 hours per week for 2 years)

SALARY RANGE:
· $68,635 per annum
