JOB TITLE:

Part-Time Campus Minister - Job Reference #202511-02C

 

DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Manager of Campus Ministry, and in collaboration with the Pastor and Priest-Chaplain, the Campus Minister will:

·         Support the pastoral care and Catholic mission of King’s University College in a part-time basis for the remainder of the academic year, both at Christ the King University Parish and on campus.

·         Play a vital role in advancing King’s University College as a Catholic institution committed to the intellectual, spiritual, and personal development of its students and the broader campus community.

·         Organize and implement sacramental preparation for the university parish (including baptisms, first communion/ reconciliation, confirmation).

·         Supports the recording, reporting and maintenance of sacramental records.

·         Provides support for programs on campus and parish events (including supporting family programming at the parish).

·         Organize volunteers for programming and liturgies.

·         Facilitate inter-faith activities on campus and/ or at parish.

·         Maintain some presence on campus to community members who are seeking information and connecting them to appropriate resources.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Certification in pastoral ministry or a closely related field.

·         Master of Divinity (preferred)

·         Demonstrated experience in pastoral or campus ministry within a Roman Catholic context.

·         Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while also managing independent responsibilities.

·         Commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment, sensitive to a diverse student population.

·         This position requires flexible hours, including availability to work on weekends and evenings.

·         Occasional travel may be required for retreats, conferences, or off-campus ministry-related programs.

Part-Time Contract (up to 24 hours per week until May 7, 2026)

SALARY RANGE:

$29.53 per hour
